When spare parts couldn't be found, Mr. W.P. Abdul Aziz made them himself. Building it properly, here, is still how we work.

The repair bench
Mr. W.P. Abdul Aziz starts repairing weighing machines and machining his own parts.

First Budry dial scale
Complete mechanical dial scales assembled in-house, a first for Sri Lanka.

Budry Scales (Pvt) Ltd
The business is incorporated as a limited liability company.

Islandwide with Singer
A distribution partnership with Singer Sri Lanka begins, now about 30 years strong.

Third generation
Mr. Fazil Aziz’s three sons join the business: two engineers, in electrical and computer engineering, and a business graduate with an MBA.
